Columbus Regional Wound Center
A cut or sore that won't heal may be cause for serious concern, especially for a patient who is diabetic or has vascular disease. Such sores and wounds are treated at the Columbus Regional Wound Center, located on the Midtown Medical Center campus.
The center offers advanced wound care therapies, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy—which increases the level of oxygen in the blood—and skin substitutes to promote healing of difficult wounds and injuries.
Treatment begins by assessing the patient’s wound, medical condition and overall health and then consulting with the patient’s primary care physician to ensure coordinated care. With this collaborative process, a customized treatment program is designed specifically for the patient.
During the course of treatment, a team of caregivers monitors and manages the patient’s progress. The staff provides compassionate and convenient care, including the ease of outpatient treatment.
Please bring the following the the first appointment:
1) Photo ID and any insurance information
2) A current list of home medications and allergies
3) Medical history and history of the wound(s) to include length of time and treatments used
