The team of physicians, nurses and therapists at Midtown Medical Center work together to promote the wellness of the critically ill patient. As the region’s largest provider of medical services, the ICU at Midtown Medical Center reflects that diversity in our patient populations. As a result, our nurses are fully competent to care for medical, surgical, PCI/STEMI, trauma, oncology, OB/GYN, and neurology patients. In the past year alone our intensive care unit (ICU) has decreased ventilator length of stay by 47 percent through the efforts of our staff-led initiatives. There are four intensivists that are board certified in critical care medicine and a core nursing leadership team that has over 200 years of combined clinical experience in the critical care environment.
There is also an infection control multidisciplinary task force team that dissects every hospital acquired device for infection in order to avoid possible harm to the next patient.
