Rehabilitation Services & Treatments

Inpatient Rehab at Northside

Inpatient rehab is for patients who need a short-term hospital stay in order to fully recover. Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, located on the campus of Northside Medical Center and certified by the Joint Commission in stroke rehabilitation, is designed to help you recover and get back to normal as soon as possible. We treat patients who have experienced traumatic brain injury, multiple fractures, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputations, hip fractures, debility and other issues. Our large, multi-disciplinary therapy team engages in one-to-one interactions with patients, using innovative tools and practical environments to help prepare you for a life of independence again. Patients receive at least three hours of therapy—physical, occupational and speech—five days a week. A typical stay is less than two weeks.

Outpatient Rehab Clinics

Not all patients need 24-hour nursing care during their rehabilitation. For patients who are able to be discharged and return home, we offer convenient outpatient rehabilitation services that are just as thorough and comprehensive as our inpatient services. You can receive therapy at one of our outpatient clinics, including Northside Medical Center as well as other locations across the Columbus area. Our treatment approach is much the same. You have a full service, multi-disciplinary team consisting of physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs) and speech therapists, all of whom work with you to develop personalized treatment plans that emphasize a hands-on philosophy of care.

Outpatient therapy at Columbus Regional Health is designed to blend perfectly with your lifestyle. The program provides the flexibility to accommodate your schedule by offering early and late appointments. Plus, we have several convenient locations across the region.

Rehabilitation starts with a personalized plan of care, developed after your therapist evaluates your abilities, limitations and desires. Both you and your therapist will agree on the best course of action before proceeding.

When you need rehab, your physician must complete a written order for you to be treated at one of our facilities. Most insurance plans cover therapy services. If you have any questions about the process, locations or services, please call the therapy coordinator at (706) 494-6087.
